I have had some great advice when it comes to joining a new church. I think that one of the best pieces was to say YES to every event or invitation for your first 2 months. Whether it’s dinner at someone’s house, or attending a church event(hosted by other ministries) Say YES! It’s a great way to meet everyone, and for you to be able to recruit more volunteers.
